Our purpose is to promote the family integrated church model. In other words, not to separate children, spouses and other family members from the service. Also not to create a ‘busy’ church order. Many pastors are suffering from burnout because of the overwhelming responsibility (not biblical responsibility either) that is put upon them to meet. Their preaching and teaching suffers and it affects their own families. The FIC model is not ‘lax’ or ‘seeker sensitive’ but attempts to model what the early NT church may have looked like. Our model is Acts as far as the FIC church is concerned.

Many FIC’s are house churches, large, small or medium size. Some meet in rented facitlies while otehr have bought or built thier own building. There is not one particular model that is exact.

Our attempt here is to help families who are seeking a break from the modern day church that often lacks doctrine in their preaching, teaching and are modeling themselves after a seeker sensitive model. In other words, they are trying to make ‘church’ attractive to people. We are against that.

We do not believe in leaderless house churches either. The NT model always points towards elder led churches. Elder/Pastor/Bishop are all the same word in the NT. Thus, we believe no matter the size or stature of the church it should have a biblical qualified leadership.
